1946 Aeronca 11AC Chief
The APM Aeronca 11AC Chief was donated to the Museum on September, 1987 by J. Kirby Lidman.
The acquisition of the Chief in September, 1987 added to what we believe is the most complete collection of Aeronca-built aircraft in the world.
When donated to the APM, the 11AC had just 595.9 hours since new, and had been flown in in Iowa since delivered to it's first owner.
When new, the Factory Price for a Chief was $2,665.00.
The Chief is in flying status, and is frequently used to "hop rides" at our fly-ins.
