APM Volmer VJ-23 "Swingwing"

History

Donated By: Mike Nichols & Jerry Koszyk

The name Volmer has been well known, particularly on the west coast, and he designed and producted quite a number of different experimental airplanes.

This hang glider was well built and flown by the donors, Mike C. Nichols and Jerry A. Koszyk of Danville, Indiana. The VJ-23 was donated as well as the trailer built for it and they assisted in assembling the aircraft and hanging it from the rafters in the main display hangar.

We wish to thank these gentlemen for their donation. Meanwhile, the APM has gained another example of this particular realm of flight which has become so popular.
