Rock Schaller of Canton, MO sent us some photos of his rare Aeronca "stick" Chief. A lot of our members out there may recognize this airplane as the one owned and flown for decades by the late Joe Simandl from West Allis, WI. Here's what Rock had to say:
I spoke with Harve an he says you would like a couple of pics that I have of Joe's Stick Chief. It is pretty well finished from the boot cowl back. Need to install the windscreen, engine & cowl, and oh yes the wings. The green shows a bit darker, but it is beginning to come together. I'll send some more when I get them. See ya.
