Jimmy Rollison and his son Jim stopped by Antique Airfield on Mon (April 12th) on their way west (Poplar Grove, IL to the San Francisco area) with the late Bud Field's Stinson Jr. They were bucking a good head wind making their progress slow as Jimmy relates in his message:
Real slow ride, fighting headwinds meaning 50 kts ground speed. In Great Bend, KS we were hosted and passed the day with Bill Koelling as we landed with 35 kt wind. His Airmaster looks great.
Great to finally visit Blakesburg and meet all, my son is having a great time, it's a once in a life time trip for us both.
A great fuel truck in Cortez, CO.
