Donna and Pat Spec have been working on a Ryan STA Special, with the 150 HP Supercharged Menasco engine.
The plane is located at Herron Airport, a small strip near New Cumberland in the Panhandle of West Virginia. Pat got the plane in pieces from the estate of Col. Edward Ortowski in Columbia, SC in 1967. Pat rebuilt the wings and recovered the wings. When he got the airplane as a project, the engine was zero time and now has four hours on it. The plane needs a final conformity inspection to be fully complete and ready to fly.
