Addison Pemberton of Felts Field, Spokane, WA also writes: After 150 hrs in the paint booth this past 6 weeks the fuse and other goodies are now ready for white dope and the Ranthane Pontiac red color. The tail group, ailerons and lower wings and door are finished as well! We will wait 20 days before urethane to out gas all the dope VOC's.

Spokesmodel and Pilot Taryn Pemberton gives the guided tour

Finally now we can begin final assembly on this and that. We ran out of time with our short summer to get the upper wings finished and they will have to be shot next spring when we get warm again. Spokane did not get above 70 degrees until after the 4th of July this year! This killed our normal cover season of 5 months and cut it down to 10 weeks.

We want to get to Blakesburg and Reno these next few weeks and will get some time on the water with our Super Cub before the cold sets in. Any way progress will really ramp up again in the fall. The Waco should fly next summer as planned. The project has been alot of fun and learning Waco has been an adventure. We will soon speak all the Waco dialects and enjoy the ride. The good news is we do not have to spend any more money on the Waco project just need some time.
