"Ailerona"
A new CD of aviation short stories written and read by Paul Berge
Author of "Bootleg Skies"
Looking for that special gift for that hard to buy for airplane nut?
Need something to listen to while working in your shop on that latest
vintage airplane project? Want a new CD to listen to in your truck
while stuck in traffic on your way to the airport?
Well then order the CD "Ailerona", by Paul Berge. This CD
contains a series of aviation short stories written and read by Paul
Berge (the Garrison Keillor of Aviation). These stories capture the
true spirit of grass roots aviation. They will make you think,
reminisce and chuckle as you listen to Paul recount aviation tales
from his adolescence to the present day. Stories like "Betty
Bounce" about a Cessna 195 that Paul had an early affair with and
"Waco 10" about a couple you may recognize and their vintage
biplane.
And best of all you can benefit the Air Power Museum and its
programs with your purchase. For $19.95 (which includes S/H)
"Ailerona" will be shipped to you anywhere in the US. A
portion of all proceeds will go to the APM.
So order one or several today. Send your check or Money order for
$19.95, per copy, to the Air Power Museum 22001 Bluegrass Rd. Ottumwa,
Iowa 52501.
And after listening to these stories tell your friends about
"Ailerona". Why, APM director Steve Butler has already
ordered five copies!
Webmaster comments: Any of you who have attened the Annual Fly-in
at Antique Airfield know Paul Berge. Flight Instructor, taildragger
pilot, former FAA employee, he has achieved no small amount of fame
(infamy?) for years as the Master of Ceremonies at the annual award
cermony. After listening to Paul's CD for hours while working on the
website redesign, I must say that he has captured those feelings that
all of us who fly have had, but did not quite know how to
express.
